Thorfinn saw nothing strange about living with Jo, but his youth had been spent on a war ship with a band of raiders, his winters spent in the care of whatever family in Gorm's Village decided they wanted to take care of Askeladd's ward. He was always in the homes of strangers or on their lands. At least with Jo it was something welcomed and not forced upon him.
