"Well it was appreciated, but you can't exactly play chess by yourself," Sam said. He's already opening the set and putting the pieces in order. "So when I heard you were recovering I figured now would be the chance to share in the fun," Sam explained. He would also hope that it would help take Credence's mind off the accident. Each piece is intricately carved -- far better than anything Sam could have managed when he was trying to build his game set. It was bird-themed, which Sam figured was less Credence's doing and more whoever was in charge of dispersing the gifts. Still, it was nice and Sam really did rank this among his favorite gifts from that day.

"I have to admit...I haven't really played chess in a few years, but it's not difficult to remember what each piece does."
