"Things have changed now for the better. I was born when India was still a British Empire," Helen said, sighing a bit at just how backward that truly was. "I remember my father bringing me on expeditions to India, to Africa. I learned quite a bit about the people there in my travels. I am so very glad that attitudes have changed and that people treat one another with a bit more dignity and respect."
