Thorfinn spent most of his time in the woods. The hall he shared with Jo wasn't really something he understood. The style of home's on the farms and cities they raided were nothing like the ones in the village. It was all beyond him, but Jo was teaching him. Jo was teaching him so much. So, he spent his days hunting and gathering, preparing for the winter he expects to come soon. It hadn't left him a lot of time to be the most social butterfly, which worked well for him considering how hard communicating was with his broken English.
He looked up mid-drink at the sound of the voice, he could tell someone was approaching but he tried not to make it too obvious. His skills had never dulled even four years off of the battlefield he was still sharp as could be. He didn't understand fully what the man was saying but he got the jist of it.
"Sit." He repeated, motioning across from himself, he remembered that word from his time in school on Medietas. Some of those lessons were so rusty buried under memories of his life at home, some of it stayed. "I'm Thorfinn." He spoke his name. It came out a little harsh but he was trying his best. Even if he had planned to eat alone, it would be rude to tell someone no, so he tried to look more inviting. Hospitality was important, and he was a guest in someone else's hospitality, so he wouldn't be rude.
