Moana's smile softened. "Well, yes, but I don't want to do things just for me. We'll all here and our future is in all of our hands. That's what it means to live in a small village." That's what she'd been taught and it was a lesson that had rooted itself into her core.

"I'll be excited to meet them, to meet everyone." She hadn't met everyone here but it was something she looked forward too. "I think that'd be fine. It's good to know how to fish. I would invent any reason to be able to go near the water." It wasn't something her father approved of, she wasn't allowed to go fishing on the boats but she was allowed near the coves with her spear and helping build the traps.

"I want to see what there is here. I don't think I'll be able to help as much without knowing what grows here. I wonder how the earth thaws or maybe if there are seeds." She was just thinking out loud now.
