Jake dozes fitfully when Cougar goes to take a leak, rolling flat onto his back and spreading out across the bed. It's barely a queen, probably just a full, which would make sense with the age of the house. But goddamn, Jake is tall even for modern day living, and he takes up the vast majority of this old bed.

"My hips are like the only part of me that isn't big," he mumbles, but does scoot over obediently, making space for Cougar in his arms again.
