"No stores, I'm afraid, as we have no currency or government. There's a schoolhouse but since there are no children, there's been no need to use it as a school," Helen explained.

"I think some people have used it as a gymnasium, of sorts. There's a town hall and a police station but we've had to use both to shelter the livestock since the weather's gone so poor."
