"You've saved people?" Credence blurts it out, and it happens before he can really stop it. Of course he has--the people in this village, they're far better than him. They're heroes, and science experiments, and important. Credence doesn't feel envy, he feels a strange sort of mix of emotions instead. Wonder, awe, and just a bit of fear.

What if they find out what he's done?

No. No, there's no way that man calling himself a Norse God is real. That's pagan--that's heretical, even. He's probably just a wizard. That's the only explanation.
