"It almost sounds like Winterfell. Our winters can last a very long time. I have heard people call them unnatural as there was one that lasted an entire generation before." Sansa answers before shaking her head. "But it isn't always so bad. The summers can actually be very nice there but it's definitely colder than most places."

In other words, she is used to snow and ice but she had grown accustomed to warmer weather as well.
