Tony isn't expecting anyone - he can't even say 'at this hour'; he just literally isn't expecting anyone right now, period. He has a fire going - he might be able to make boiling water in the inn a bit more efficient if he can figure this one thing out - and he sort of wipes at his face when his thought process is interrupted. Despite the overwhelming chill from outside, it's still either marginally to very warm in here, depending on where one stands, and Tony looks first at the girl, then at the bundle in her arms.
