Kate chews on the inside of her cheek, frowning over it. She decides, in the end, to take his word for it. There are only two groups of people she habitually distrusts, and for all that she wants answers, she's not about to extend that well-worn paranoia to her fellow captives. She's not going to let the captors do that, and she doesn't like that it's her first thought. That he's lying.
"There are others that have been 'ere, then vanished," she says, by way of explanation. "You're the first to come back."

"No one's actually drowned. Yet, for all that might not be reassurin'. But I do have your old things, that were left. If you wanted 'em? Clothes."
