It's not exact, whether he and Lucy have worked anything out. They are attempting, so there's that. Desmond is in a personal period of change, where he's been unlearning toxic things and taking back healthier things. It's a process. But he hasn't really come around yet to being comfortable that someone knows the worst thing about him. His talk with Altair though made him slightly more open to the idea of sharing, but he's more wary at the moment to make certain Ashley isn't there to yell at him.

She confirms right away she doesn't plan on that, and he smiles faintly. "Cool, because today's been okay so far, threats would really bring the mood down." He often tries to joke to lighten things up, and it's a key sign of when he's anxious or uncertain. Jokes! They'll help!
