Tommy shrugs; he may be exaggerating his lack of knowledge over living at a more normal speed. His super speed didn’t manifest until several years ago, and he remembers what it was like the last time he was depowered like this, in that government detention facility where the Young Avengers found him. That’s part of the problem of being here - it’s an all-too-sharp reminder of the trauma he endured there, a nagging thought that refuses to stay entirely pushed down and out of sight.
“He said he fell off a roof, was doing parkour I guess? And he landed on it wrong.” It sounded reasonable enough, as far as excuses go, though Tommy doesn’t know Nida nearly as well as Billy does. “That’s what I said, but maybe he’ll listen to you.”
They’ll find out soon enough - Nida’s house isn’t far.
