He didn't need to see this so soon, Rhodey thinks as he stands next to Bruce, stock still. And yet, somehow, Bruce is right in what he's thinking - their minds had shielded them, and besides that Bruce had seen different things than he had. He's pale under his dark skin. His lips are tight, and when he draws a breath it's a little hard to get it through his throat.

"You doing okay?"

Better to focus on someone else, after all, even if that someone else is probably feeling some of the same damn things as he is.
