Kat hadn't planned to stay for very long. She had wanted to check in with Tony and talk about some of the projects she had wanted to help him with. Then she saw that there were waffles and all other plans went firmly out the window. She missed the city, the fast food and the 24 hours dinners. Waffles had always been the best part about her late night missions and she was going to indulge now that she had the chance.
Once she had her waffle, she sat near the fire but out of the way, and ate.
It was like heaven on a crispy slotted desert.

So she kept Elton company and listened to the soft buzz of those gathered nearby. She flipped through the books and eventually found herself incredibly focused in a book that described basic static properties and constructions. It helped fill in the some of the blanks and she had fantastic company.
