He can see staring out of the corner of his eye. Leaves him with his jaw clenched, fingers curling against his thighs. Not quite fists, but uncomfortable. It just reminds him of how much things have changed. How much he's changed. And how much Maine hasn't. Or... how different he is to when Wash last saw him.

Things don't fit together as easily as they used to.

"Yeah," Wash agrees. "It's archaic. No electricity but still have this thing." He raises his wrist and shakes it, showing off the watch-device.
