"It really isn't," he admits, a faint smile on his lips. He certainly led a rough life but he wasn't about to go admitting his vigilante efforts. Being secretive about those are second nature by now, and keeping those strengths to himself might help the group in the long run, if he can surprise their captors.

"I lived in a comfortable house on a large estate just outside a very big, modern city. I have no experience living in the wilderness like this but I'm a quick study and I'm willing to help."

He looks down at her. "And I'm grateful for your offer of help."
