"You should be able to determine which houses are unstable and unsuitable to occupy. We haven't had any further earthquakes since then." Something that they could be grateful for, despite the troubles the last one inflicted.

"I did as well," she confessed with a warm smile. "Unfortunately my home was damaged during the quake, now I'm living with others." Which was probably for the best. It had seemed a good idea to be on her own when she arrived, but strange things were occurring in the village and it was disconcerting to be alone at night.

"There are two from my world, though I didn't know them personally until coming here. It was a silly question. You will soon know everyone. The village is rather small."
