In his experience you don't really get a choice to give up fighting or not. Either you let someone get the better of you or those you are trying to protect, or the fight's done with you and you can't even get up without every muscle and bone screaming in protest anymore. If she's found a way to retire he's all ears, but more often than not he feels like stopping isn't an option.
