It's impressive to her. Hawke always appreciates the skills of other people, especially if they're the kind she needs to use for her own ends. He's the humble sort she can tell that much. She on the other hand loves being told her skills are impressive. They sure were. She spent two decades developing them.
"This still must have taken time. Are you one of those people who hates taking compliments? Because I'm very complimentary, beware." She smiles over at him and sips, thinking over what he's asking. "Back home I had gloves made of argent leather, iron, steal, and cloth. They doubled as armor." Hawke laments it a bit, not having them here, but maybe she'd get very lucky. She traces a finger over her knuckles and the back of her hand. "Sharp steel on the digits, iron on the wristband, light cloth for the color, and leather for the padding. I know I'm never going to get that here, but I'm going to wear out these eventually."
