Not so long in the grand scheme of things, thought it could feel like an eternity he supposed. Reeve nodded his thanks over the question answered and turned his attention back to the fire for a long moment. When he spoke next even a brief glance at his expression would say that the question was one he would just as soon not ask. But the need was there and he could not keep himself from the words.
