Danny's eyebrow rose as her nose lightly brushed against his. His smirk lifted on one side, turning into a cocky smirk that he usually got when someone challenged him in what he saw as a ridiculous fight.

"Good. I was hoping for a fight."

His hands moved very quickly as he pulled Sam close and tickled her side. She'd be able to kick but if she did, he was going to tackle her to the floor.

Danny didn't over complicate things if he could help it but it was complicated. Everything in this small village ended up being complicated because he knew that no matter how long he stayed here, it wouldn't be forever.
