"Yeah, we ---" Bruce blinks as she comes right into his personal space, and he looks up at her with wide eyes. She's so impressive. Everything about her speaks of competence and power. It's why he doesn't shy back away from her, simply wills himself to stay still. People have told him before that given a close look he and the Hulk do actually resemble each other in the face. Bigger and greener, yes, but the expressions can be the same, the dark eyes and bushy eyebrows.

The Hulk most of the time was angry or confident, he held none of Bruce's fear and hesitance. His smile though, hesitant but real, was much like the Hulk's whenever someone amused or surprised him. Bruce had no idea how he kept control those years, but the constant danger helped. Hulk had emotions that weren't just anger now. Go figure. He made a friend. This friend. Though Bruce often said that he didn't think they were the same person, the fact that he instinctively liked and felt comfortable with her said otherwise.

"I know, it's easier if I could show you, but that's not possible here. But uh ----" Wow how did he even say this? Their sincerity and honest were aspects they shared. The Hulk didn't understand deceit, and Bruce was terrible at it. "I know he considered you a friend and that he cared about you. He's never had a friend before, so ... thank you?"
