Her lips moved against his neck and Danny felt his mouth curve into a languid smile. Her breath was soft and subtle against his skin and he pulled her a little closer to his side. He didn't feel her pulse nor did she radiate heat but there was a comfortable warmth spreading down his side, where skin touched skin.
Danny's eyes remained closed, a soft hum rumbling through his chest. It wasn't quite a laugh but close enough.
"I'm probably the worst person to ask that." He murmured against the crest of her head and inhaled. He smelled soap and a candy like sweetness that he couldn't place. Danny's own scent was of sweat, cotton and split wood. It didn't matter what he did in the village, he always ended up smelling a bit like the materials that he was using in the Dojo's construction.
"Sleep okay?"
He knew that she didn't exactly sleep. It'd been one of the first thing that he'd learned about her but he couldn't stop himself from asking, a little nervous note audible at the edge of his question.
