Vasquez figures there's no point pretending he isn't awake. Collecting the blankets so they pool around his waist, he shifts until he's sitting up in Faraday's bed, leaning back against the wall, one knee up, and his hair a mess. He watches him expectantly, wondering how he can make Faraday go without them having to talk.
The trouble is, then he makes Vasquez feel like shit by admitting that he'd cared about him. "There's a machine in the bunker," he explains. "It lets you have powers and I had the ability to buy one. So I took a week of being a wolf," he admits. "It was easier than talking about anything with you, after I was sick."
He stretches out his leg, staring apologetically at Faraday. "I never meant to make you worry."
