Being told it's been a year is one thing but facing it as a reality is a lot harder than it seems. For him it's someone that he was on decent times with and now it's all tense, and he can justify why but can't work it out emotionally.

"No reason to leave it all in empty houses," he points out, shrugging. "We need animals that are useful. Chickens. Anything with milk. Meat animals."
