Hawke sighs and recognizes he's right. If she tries to walk back in the dark, she might very well disappear. "Alright, but we don't need to do anything. You can keep at it." She doesn't need anyone to hold her hand, because they can't. And sure, maybe she's a little anxious, maybe she's thinking about how easy it would be to fade away and no one would notice, but she can think logically too. "Nothing can really get me like this, so I'll just walk back and see if it works itself out."
