Where I am from, though I wrote often and much, the books to write in were expensive. They were my one luxury." The Brotherhood had insisted on giving him fine robes, and he'd been grateful for their warmth, but the only thing he had asked for, for himself, was access to blank books. And that, besides his family, was what he missed.
