Jess can't tell if she's thrown him a lifeline or added more blood to the water and she's too tired to care. She would nod if she were still sitting up but now that she's lying down, she's planted, and any moving will become an ordeal unto itself. The windows and doors will probably stay open until she's so cold she can't sleep.
