The school house is terribly exciting for Natalia, who has plenty of experience with book learning but no knowledge of basic crafts or other things commonly ascribed to 'peasants' by those responsible for her education and social appearances. It's hard to choose which book to read first. She goes from shelf to shelf, adding more books to the pile in her arms at every stop. Soap making, weaving, woodworking, hunting, even one book about being a housewife makes the cut.
She drops her books at the first table she comes to without realizing there's already someone here.
