It was brief but Kat smiled at him, her dark emerald green eyes glittering in the moonlight that filtered through the trees. A breeze rustled through the trees and Kat shivered, wrapping her arms around her torso. It had been a cool night but between the fires and the Hot Springs, Kat had barely noticed.
"That's good." She didn't like seeing him locked away in his room though she wondered if he thought himself incapable of feeling more. Kat knew that wasn't true but she also didn't know how to convince Vergil of that. "I know that what you saw in the bunker still bothers you." Kat couldn't do anything about it but she knew that it was an issue. "I wish there was something we could do about it." The worst part of the situation was that they were completely helpless.
