"Yeah," he asks, wishing he didn't have reason to show an interest in anyone's personal curse. "It doesn't have to be me, and I guess we'd accept anonymous tips, but--I've been forced to test drive a few abilities other people came in with, and if it's that bad we might appreciate a warning. You never know who they're going to crop up in."

The animal thing had admittedly been entertaining and useful, but that might just be his luck of the draw on something airborne.

As for the rest: "It's only been since we got out of the canyon--the part we think was a simulation. We're still figuring them all out, it usually takes some high stress situation to trigger." Thinking over the reports and chatter on the network, he adds, "I think some people got a personal bubble? Sort of shield that pops when they need it. Mine's like--espresso, adrenaline. Gets people going in a tight spot. Some of it's subtle, most of it seems to boost other people in a crisis. I guess they figured we needed the help."
