Bruce knew coming to this bonfire would mean socializing with new people, but Tony seemed confident he would be okay. And that these people were the good kind that Bruce could handle. His friend knew him better than himself at times, so he went with it. Still he felt that inward stab of anxiety when a stranger came up to him, but repressed it quickly. This was fine. We were in this together. He looked at the joint, having never tried it before the Hulk or after, but the Hulk wasn't there to react to his paranoia. He took it and tried his very best at appearing to know what he was doing, handing it back and coughing a little as he adjusted to the smoke.
