"Yeah, really," Major affirms with a tiny nod to seal the deal. "Kind of just .. the understanding that things that have already happened can't be changed, you know? The only thing that I can do - that we all can do, really - is keep moving forward, keep looking towards what's to come. It doesn't make sense to sit and wallow about stuff you can't change. I mean, I think it's important not to forget all of it because, you know, those sayings about being doomed to repeat history and all, but we don't have to let it consume us. It's okay to just let things go." He shakes his head gently at her thanking him, not to dismiss her gratitude but to show that it really wasn't anything for him to sit and listen. He knows he's gotten the better end of the bargain, being gifted with her ease, her story, tales of her life.

"You don't think the grave is kinda metal? Kinda goth?" He looks over to where Peeta's buried. "I mean, I was never really into both scenes, but I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been at least a little bit curious about them." He glances back to her. "But, yeah, sure. So long as there is another hang out to look forward to, we'll pick something different." And then, as an after thought because Major's brain is always whizzing at a million miles a minute, he adds, "I read once that Mary Shelley lost her virginity on her mother's grave."
