She's pleasantly surprised to see a pretty face that looks close to being her age. It's something she's not particularly used to running into, which might explain how she winds up staring for a little longer than necessary. She still has one of the apples skewered against her teeth, and has to take a big bite out of it so she can pull it free. She's in the middle of chewing when she takes the offered apple from the girl.

"So I can just take anything here?"

If she sounds skeptical or filled with total disbelief, it's because she isn't used to food being so readily available or free for the taking. She eyes the apple she's currently enjoying with a healthy dose of apprehension.

"You're sure no one's gonna try punishing me?"
