As long as Sam took his lessons seriously, he wasn't going to give up on her. He'd only give up when it was obvious that she'd given up on herself. You can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped.

"That isn't success." He leaned forward and gently pressed two fingers beneath Sam's chin so he could guide her gaze to his. "Failure, the things you have to fight for, those will be your success. Failure teaches you and if you want to learn then you'll also have to learn to fail and never stop moving forward."

It was easier said than done but that was how Danny had become the first outsider to obtain the coveted position of the Immortal Ironfist. He hadn't let anything stop him.
