Arrival Day; Fountain - One volunteer for fountain, otherwise OTA
In the midst of it happening, Logan felt the feeling of déjà vu; his mind remembering the sensation of water surrounding. But given his very last memories of what had occurred and the whirlwind of anger and pain and confusion of a place and people he shouldn't know but did make his arrival a rather loud one.
He grunts while trying to catch his breath and looks around with a defensive look that conveyed that the man was clearly unpredictable and needed to be approached with caution, though it doesn't take too long for him to finally get on his feet and take a look around with something of familiarity.
Later in the evening, he could be found sitting on the step of his newly claimed house trying to collect his thoughts and figure out the past, present and what was going on in his future. As well as where his last visit to the settlement fit into it all.
Around and at the Inn - OTA
Any kind of rest didn't include much sleep. As always, he woke up after a nightmare, metal claws out and shredded sheets on either side of him. This time, he was letting out a pained holler when they didn't. There was only intense pressure that made both hands ache like they never had before.
So he grabs the white shirt that he'd changed into earlier that day and sets out for a walk, eventually ending up at the inn where he grumbles through making a cup of something and sits down.
He could really use a cigar and a glass of something strong right now.
Around (Outside the Jail)
She wrapped her shawl around her shoulders as she took a few steps towards Logan and her dog. Giving a low whistle, she called Gilbert back to her and commanded him back to the fields, to follow and chase the livestock as he enjoyed.
"You are back."
no subject
Slowing to a stop, he can't help the small curve of one side of his mouth. "Appears that way. Miss me?"
He doesn't see any reason not to pick up where they left off.
no subject
She pulled her shawl tighter around her, holding herself together in this way. "You remember everything." That was never a guarantee she found. Some came back without ever knowing they had been here before. The Observers were either tormenting Logan with this or making his readjustment easier, it was hard to tell.
"You have been gone some time."
no subject
"Yeah, most of it." he answers, looking her over without appearing so much like he was. There was definitely something different in her features; a sense of wariness and definitely sadness that could be a number of things given the setting. He remembers the risks and the very real threat of losing anyone one got too close to.
He remembers it well because that is simply how his life is. Here or back in his world.
"Care to fill me in on exactly how long?" he asks.
no subject
"It is difficult to tell, but we are in a different village. One day, we were all crawling out of the fountain in an exact replica of the other village, but the homes that were destroyed in the other are repaired here. There is still no word why we suddenly went through such a strange transition."
There was a great deal to tell him, so many things that happened. Her visions and now the sudden loss of them, the spores and the different pods. She could already imagine his quips about all of it.
no subject
And two villages? Yes, there was more to tell, that's for sure.
"It felt different," Logan said, looking around before bringing his gaze back to Margaery. "And one of the first things I noticed was that there was no canyon."
no subject
It took getting used to, sometimes now she forgot that the village changed.
"I'm glad you're here." She said softly, speaking honestly as she reached for his hand. "It's as if the Observers sensed I needed your strength."
