Danny was an idealist and, despite everything he's been through, he had a natural inclination to trust people. There was no reason by his apparent trust and at the end of everything he was likely to be hurt from it but he hadn't learned any other way. In K'un-Lun he was told to respect the other Monks, his teachers and his elders. On top of what he'd been taught, held the hope of a young boy who yearned for the love and affection of his family.
His parents were dead and he hadn't had any siblings; he didn't have anyone else who might show him some small sliver unity.
Their steps faltered and Danny looked over at Vergil with an uncertain knit furrowing his brow. "He stabbed you?" He understood an argument between brothers but stabbing someone through the chest sounded extreme. Kind of like threatening to drive someone off the roof of a parking garage. . .
Danny exhaled a slow breath as they reached the door of the inn. He had to stop helping Vergil and focus on getting the door open so they could safely slip inside. "What did you guys argue over?" Was it Monopoly because Danny would argue that Monopoly was a big fucking deal.
