Rose glanced in the direction of the line of trees that wrapped around the whole settlement, her nose wrinkling in distrust as she scrutinized the too new to her woods in question.

“Can’t say I’ve checked it out.” Mostly because despite peoples reassurances that it was just… a bunch of trees, Rose was still foolishly expecting a mountain range to fall from the sky at any moment.

“As I remember it, you’ve just gotta wait five minutes.” A wry, half grin playing across her lips, despite the negativity of her words. If she were being honest? Brutally honest. Rose thought that was one of the things this place had going for it. At least when things were trying to kill her, she felt a strange sense of normalcy.
