Kamala looks at Owen with confusion written all over her features. "What?" It takes her thirty seconds and another look at Frank to work it out. He looks intimidating from a distance. She's telling Owen to get lost at the sight of him rather than making introductions. He must think something really bad. Kamala honestly doesn't even have the heart to work out what bad thing it might be.

She needs to clear this up immediately. She's quick to defend Frank even if there's no heat behind it. He's never spoken to the man. Owen isn't at fault for looking out for her. It's not like she has a resemblance she can lean on that could clear this up... which goes to show how good Kamala has it. She thinks sharing blood makes someone less likely to think a giant man who would dangerous to a tiny girl like her.

"It's not like that. He protected me and the other kids from someone very bad... and well everything else. He taught us how to survive without him too so it's not he was trying to control us or something. He's literally the last person in any world who would be a threat to me. It's just... well he's been through a lot too. I know he must come off as either really scary or weird to everyone else. Frank is... intense. Not everyone can handle that or wants to handle it."
