At this point, Peter doesn't honestly know why he's still keeping secret that he's Spider-man. The excuse that they could all get back home is pretty thin, considering that for a lot of these people, home isn't even Earth, or a totally different time. It's instinct, though, to frantically wave Barnes off from saying more.

"Nobody knows," Peter hisses as he steps closer. His expression pinches. "I probably could have led with that."
