And for all that the feeling isn't entirely unfamiliar, he can't really say that he'd expected to be subject to even something remotely like a transporter malfunction out here. Mostly because he's not entirely certain the Observers have that sort of technology, yes, but the fact still remains that it's a bit of a surprise.
