"I wouldn't want him to be trapped here," she amends slowly, "but I would always want to introduce him to the people I care about." Of which Ned is most definitely one. She has come to care for him a lot and appreciate their friendship.

She is, of course, more than happy to talk about Wesley, and likely will soon enough, but for the moment, she lets Ned answer her question first. Her smile warms even more as he talks about his children and she nods. "I haven't really met any of them yet, but I know Raleigh and he speaks of Sansa very lovingly. You must be very proud of all of them." She knows she would be, in his place.

Taking a sip of her drink, she uses the time to center herself before she begins to talk about her son. Not that the topic of Wesley is difficult, she loves her son very much and is more proud of him than words can say, but if she needs to talk about Jack... well... the wound might not be a gaping hole anymore, but the scab can be picked easily enough.

"Jack and I only had one. Wesley was five when Jack was killed, so he's all we really had time for. But Wesley has always been the light of my life. He wasn't able to make friends easily growing up. He's always been so smart. He followed in his father's footsteps for a long time, but I think... once he started at the Academy, the pressure I unknowingly put on him was just too much. A lot of things happened to him and now he's chosen his own path. Maybe one day he'll come back to the Academy, but for now he's... traveling, I guess is the best way to put it. He's somewhere else and I just have to trust in his ability to take care of himself and his companion's ability to protect him."
