Beverly had actually started with a light breakfast cocktail, but now that she's been here for a bit, she's eyeing some of the other drinks available. When she spots Ned, she makes her way over, happy to see him more than the hot chocolate.

"It is a good drink," she agrees with a smile. "Do you not have chocolate in your world or just not the hot liquid version?"

It isn't such a longshot to assume that some places just don't have farms of cacao or even wild-grown variants. Maybe Ned just isn't in the part of his world that does.
