"I am sure you're not the only person who sees it like that." Bela says, deciding to talk about herself for a moment. "In my own experience I have never had to share with others and rely upon so little. Been a real learning curve."

She didn't know him so maybe he was used to living like this. Bela also doesn't know if he has spoken to anyone else ever since he arrived, but she isn't going to ignore him.
