He didn't mean for baby to slip out. Given Jude's ambivalence to being told he was cute, it would have been something to avoid, if possible. But it seems to have gone over... pretty well, actually, not that he'd be confident in it staying that way if they weren't where and when they are. He'll revisit that later.

Bodhi tightens his grip and presses his nose into Jude's hair again, trying not to tease this time, wanting to be intent and clear but maybe not risk driving the guy crazy while they're working on something important. That's actually--That's an excellent idea. He immediately loves it. Doesn't seem fair to Jude, definitely isn't normal, but, damn, everything would be so easy that way. "Kriff, yes," he says, smiling at the absurdity of it.

Though from here that's not exactly fair. Bodhi quite likes where he is, but even if he were a normal person who didn't need to be treated like a time bomb, there wouldn't be much for Jude to reach.
