"It's winter, everyone's losing their tans." Truth, but Clint doesn't tan, Clint weathers. Even in the winter he's got that "outdoor" look and it never really goes away - except for the rare times he's been sick, such as now. Peggy absolutely has the right idea that he's still somewhat down, since under that weathering he looks pretty drawn and washed-out but, well, good luck getting him to admit it. "Bev already had me do a lot of that - we don't really have medicine here for her to dose me, or she'd've done that, too."

In a way, it was actually kind of funny. Being from the future meant that even Cho's machines that he's familiar with are old-fashioned or obsolete to his house's resident doctor, and once he was coherent he'd gotten to see her be frustrated at the level of medical treatment in this village, so far behind what he was used to, much less her. It was, at least, something to be amused about, when he didn't have much of a choice to focus on anything else.
