She frowned when Steve told he that this place wasn't that bad. How could he not be as miserable as she is? Though she figured that perhaps that was part of his training as a SEAL, learn to adapt to all situations. Unfortunately for Mary, she was not equipped with such training. "Thanks." She pulled Steve's coat around her, hoping that it would warm her up a bit.
"A couple of months? Great. How do people survive winters? I'd give anything to be back in L.A. right now or even O'ahu. I'll never complain about the heat again." Mary watched as Steve took the poker and shifted the logs on the fire and he set the pot up to boil. When he pointed at her and told her to leave the fire to him, she rolled her eyes. "I may not know how to start a fire Steve but I'm pretty sure I can keep one going. It's not that hard. You're just being a control freak."
Mary looked over at her brother, giving him a weak smile as he told her his plans for food and tea and his promise that they'd be okay. As bad as a mood she was currently in, she was thankful that her brother was here. "If you say so. We're stuck here with no idea where here is or why we're here. And worse of all this place doesn't have electricity or technology. I don't know how we're going to be okay." She watched the fire for a few moments, watching the flames flicker and the wood crack. "Do you think anyone knows you're missing? Could someone be looking for you?"
