"I never gave you my name, maybe the guy just looked like me," he points out, unsure why he hopes that's the case. Does it really matter, if it doesn't change the fact that he's here now? It might, at least, solve the issue of assumptions and obligations. Or the things people might pretend his doppelganger had obligated him to.

Amnesia's a new excuse, but he'll give it a shot.

Pulling the blanket around himself makes him feel better in a very basic way. He's indoors, he's by a fire, no one's shooting. "Why would someone teleport me across the country to play cabin in the woods, assuming I accept that's even a thing? Like, I get that you feel like you've had time to process this and go yeah, I'm not crazy, and if this is a whole thing that happens, it's probably annoying as fuck, but--you might just be fucking crazy. I might be crazy."

Except going crazy wouldn't leave him powerless. How's he meant to get that explained without tipping his hand?
