Jon, for his part, meant only to check on Lucrezia. He knew she'd lost someone close to her and he hated to see her lonely. He'd grown somewhat close to her since she'd arrived and he felt a pull to her that was more than duty, more than simply wanting to take her under his wing. He wanted, very much, to spend time with her even when it wasn't proper and he supposed that was what had drawn him to her doorstep this evening.
"It's just Jon, my lady. Nothing to fear," he assured her. "Are you all right?"
